Originally an abandoned workshop—dark, damp, and filled with industrial remnants—this space was transformed into a home through an intuitive, site-led design process. Rather than following a fixed plan, decisions emerged through direct engagement with the existing structure, responding to light, material traces, and unexpected discoveries.

Walls were selectively removed to open the apartment to air and daylight, while others were preserved for their character and structural value. The kitchen was positioned at the center as the social and functional heart of the home, and a large patio extends the living space outdoors, strengthening the connection to sky and nature.

The renovation balances the building’s industrial past with warmth and livability. Original wooden beams, stone walls, and raw surfaces were retained to preserve texture, history, and material honesty. The result is a layered domestic environment that embraces imperfection, celebrates age, and supports everyday life with openness and flexibility.
